H2B2 is a technology company that promotes, develops, finances, designs, integrates, builds, operates and maintains hydrogen production systems based on water electrolysis, providing complete solutions for generation, compression, storage, commercialization, refiling stations and all other uses of green hydrogen.

H2B2 contribute within H2SCORE project

Design, manufacture, validate and integrate a reversible Solid Oxide Cell (rSOC) system combining both electrolysis (SOEC) and fuel cell (SOFC) modes in a single modular unit. The rSOC system will enable the production of hydrogen from renewable electricity in SOEC mode (50 kW) and its conversion into electricity in SOFC mode (15 kW), using either pure hydrogen or biomass-derived syngas, with the additional benefit of combined heat and power (CHP) generation through thermal integration with the local District Heating Network (DHN).

Key innovations include:

  • ability to switch dynamically between SOEC and SOFC modes, enabling seasonal balancing.
  • co-feeding of syngas and hydrogen without the need for complex reforming or water–gas shift units.
  • direct integration in an operational REC.
