CARTIF

CARTIF is a private non-profit technology centre whose main mission is to transfer technology to companies in order to enhance their competitiveness. This transfer is built upon the knowledge and solutions developed and refined through competitive public R&D projects at regional, national, and European levels. Over the years, the centre has experienced exponential growth and currently employs nearly 250 professionals, with an average annual turnover of around €15 million. Approximately 60% of this activity comes from public R&D funding, while the remaining share corresponds to direct contracts with companies, reflecting its core vocation: putting knowledge at the service of industry. CARTIF develops, improves, and transfers technologies in areas such as energy, environment, industry, construction, and digitalisation, helping companies optimise their processes, enhance their products, adapt to continuous market changes, and remain at the forefront of technological innovation.

CARTIF contribute within H2SCORE project

CARTIF acts as a key digital and modelling partner in H2SCORE, leading the development of the Energy Management System (EMS) and grid interaction models for hydrogen-integrated Renewable Energy Communities (RECs). It develops simulation tools to analyse electricity exchange with the grid under different operational scenarios, supports optimal control strategy design, and contributes to KPI definition and monitoring architecture. CARTIF is responsible for the I&C and monitoring workflow of the P2H2P system, ensuring real-time control integration. Its EMS is interconnected with techno-economic models to align operational control with cost, environmental and replicability objectives.
