BluEnergy Revolution (BER)

BluEnergy Revolution (BER) is an Italian SME based in Genova, working on hydrogen energy systems: PEM electrolysers, metal hydride (MH) hydrogen storage, and Power-to-Hydrogen-to-Power (P2H2P) applications for decentralised, community-scale use. Its main products are the MOSE electrolyser platform (15 kW baseline, certified) and the HYDOR metal hydride storage technology, both designed for compact, low-pressure hydrogen production and storage in urban and semi-public settings. Systems are containerised and remotely monitored. BER has taken part in EU-funded projects including EVELIXIA, GUESS-WHy and EVERYWH2ERE. The company’s technical work includesnhardware engineering, system integration, and monitoring via Grafana-based platforms. A particular focus is thermal coupling between fuel cells and MH storage, which improves round-trip efficiency and enables warm-start operation.

BER contribute within H2SCORE project

In H2SCORE, BER leads WP5 (Low Temperature Solutions Executive Design) and WP7 (Enabling Technologies Prototyping & FAT). Its responsibilities include the executive design, prototyping and factory acceptance testing of a 50 kW PEM electrolyser, a 30 kg MH storage unit for the P2H2P system, and a 5 kg MH storage unit for the rSOC system, plus overall P2H2P system integration. BER also leads commissioning of H2SCORE technologies at the Quarona demo site (D9.1) and handles exploitation activities across WPs 12–14, including the TRL9 roadmap (D11.6) and IPR management workshops.
